Catholic high schools in the Twin Cities could form a new conference, the Pioneer Press reports.
Athletic directors from catholic schools are scheduled to discuss the possibility at a meeting at DeLaSalle High School May 16.
St. Thomas Academy athletics director Jack Zahr says the meeting will simply be a discussion, "nothing more than that."
St. Thomas Academy could be looking for a new conference anyway. Athletic directors in the Classic Suburban are in the process of trying to vote the Cadets out of the conferene.
Another school in need of a new home is Benilde-St. Margaret's, which is part of the North Suburban Conference, which will dissolve following the 2013-14 school year.
