Preview: Wild vs. Stars

Minnesota (25-19-7) beat Dallas at the Xcel Energy Center two weeks ago. However, the Stars (26-22-2) are looking to win their 15th straight home game against the Wild Saturday night. Wild beats Burns, Sharks with two late goals

The Minnesota Wild came back twice on Sunday to beat the Sharks, 4-3 at the X. San Jose jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first three-and-a-half minutes of the game, and went up 3-2 in the third period on former Wild star Brent Burns’ 10th goal of the season. But Matt Cullen tied the score at three, and less than 80 seconds later Jed Ortmeyer scored the game-winner -- his first goal of the season.

The Wild (22-16-6) will meetup with the Blues (25-12-6) on the road Saturday night. Minnesota continued to struggle Thursday losing 5-2 to the Blackhawks. The Wild are now 2-9-3 in their last 14 games. St. Louis also lost on home ice Thursday to Vancouver in overtime. However, that was just the second loss for the Blues in 11 homes games. Minnesota beat St. Louis twice at the Xcel in November.
