Priorities: Twins' Phil Hughes got engaged ... then back to hockey

For whatever the reason, Twins pitcher Phil Hughes couldn't wait for the next game to propose to his girlfriend on the giant video board at Target Field.

Instead, Hughes went to some fancy restaurant (we're not sure where) to get engaged.

Luckily, his now fiancée has a man who is passionate ... about hockey.

Not even two hours after "she said yes" Hughes was on Twitter talking about hockey – specifically, former Wild defenseman Brent Burns, who scored a goal for the San Jose Sharks.

The Twins say Hughes is a giant hockey fan. His favorite club? The Tampa Bay Lightning, although he does dip into Wild games, too. Check out the tweeting rampage he went on during Sunday's Wild-Blackhawks game at TCF Bank Stadium.

Zucker is just fine. The Wild said he's day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Here's the hit that got him.

Anyway, back to baseball. Hughes and fellow Twins pitchers and catchers have their first workout of Spring Training on Monday. Position players report to Ft. Myers, Florida, on Friday.
