Pro hockey reporter tops list of Minnesota media Twitter users

Star Tribune NHL and Wild reporter Michael Russo is tops when it comes to Minnesota media people on Twitter, MinnPost's David Brauer reports.

Brauer put together the website's first-ever "Twitter 1,000" list, which actually consists of 1,040 journalists and news commentators across the state.

Russo's Twitter feed has 32,802 followers, followed by KFAN talk show host Dan Barreiro, who has 24,401 followers.

Brauer, meanwhile, came in at No. 34 on the list he compiled with 8,158 followers.

Not included on the Twitter 1,000 list were locals with a national following.

Tops among those Twitter users were the Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods" host Andrew Zimmern, who had 487,923 followers at the time the list was released.
