Rankings say Vikings fans are average at best

Why is everyone always attacking Minnesota sports? The latest attack comes from CBS Sports, which ranked Vikings fans 22nd in the NFL.

The rankings are based on five CBS writers' opinions, so it's not exactly science. However, a more scientific study done in July ranked the Vikings 22nd as well. That one, from sports analytics researcher, Mike Lewis, measured "the level of support each team enjoys in the form of dollars spent, miles traveled, and social media assaulted by its fan base," according to Yahoo Sports.

All we know is that Vikings fans packed TCF Bank Stadium for the third-coldest game in NFL history last season. If that's not better than 22nd in the league then we'll just tip our cap and walk away.

FYI: The Vikings also sold out every game at the Metrodome from 1998-2012.
