The game came down to the free throw line. Trailing 94-92, Ricky Rubio had a chance to tie the game with a pair of free threws with 1.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Rubio made the first. His second rimmed out.

Rudy Gay scored 26 points and Demar Derozan added 25 to lead the Raptors.

Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 24 points. Andrei Kirilenko scored 20. Rubio finished with 13 points and 12 assists.

Adelman's next chance at career win No. 1,000 comes Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons at Target Center.
