Twins' minor league team auctions jerseys for Sandy relief

The Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins in Connecticut, The New Britain Rock Cats, are auctioning off jerseys to benefit the victims on the East Coast recovering from superstorm Sandy. The Twins announced Monday the team will be honoring Minnesota baseball tradition this Sunday by wearing throwback uniforms of the 1951 Minneapolis Millers. The Millers were part of Minnesota's baseball tradition from 1884-1960. The uniforms are white with black numbers and letters and orange trim.
