It's been a couple of years since Rashad Vaughn was a standout junior basketball player at Robbinsdale Cooper High School. He played his senior year at a prep school in Las Vegas and went on to be named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year in his only season at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
Vaughn, the 17th pick in 2015 NBA Draft, made his preseason debut with the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night and the kid from Minnesota made an immediate impact, leading the Bucks with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting.
Vaughn's head coach in Milwaukee, future Hall of Fame guard Jason Kidd, loves what Vaughn can do.
“He can shoot the ball and put the ball in the basket. He knows how to play," Kidd said, via the Wisconsin State Journal. "Being 19 years old ... we’re looking for his energy and effort on the defensive end, too, to see how he handles going against some of those guys on the other side.”
