Realignment plan: Wild shifted to Midwest division

The NHL is proposing to realign, going from six divisions down to four.

If approved, the Minnesota Wild would move into the Midwest Division with Chicago, Colorado, Dallas. Nashville, St. Louis and Winnipeg.

The plan -- which also radically changes the postseason playoff structure -- was detailed in a memo sent to all 30 clubs today.

If approved, it’ll go into effect next year.
