Reeve thinks ESPN disrespected All-Star celebrity Whalen and the Lynx

Lindsay Whalen will pay in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game later this month.

NBA All-Star Weekend just got a lot more entertain for Minnesota fans. Lindsay Whalen, one of the most beloved basketball players ever produced by Minnesota, is playing in the All-Star Celebrity Game later this month.

But there's a problem.

Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve took exception to the ESPN's press release about the game for failing to note that Whalen plays for the Lynx. Instead, they referred to her as a "WNBA Player" while fellow WNBA star Candace Parker was tagged with her team, the Los Angeles Sparks.

Reeve said the Twitter user who pointed out the negligence is "exactly right" and then copied the tweet and tagged ESPN and the WNBA.

The All-Star Celebrity Game is Feb. 17 in New Orleans.
