Report: Barker accepts scholarship to play at Houston

Former Gophers wide receiver A.J. Barker, who quit the team and ripped head coach Jerry Kill last month, has accepted a scholarship to play football at the University of Houston next fall, his brother, Ross, told the Pioneer Press. Ross said his older brother is "super excited now that he has a coach that truly believes he's the real deal."

Barker's is unlikely to leave behind a legacy about catching seven touchdown passes this season, but instead for writing a letter accusing Kill of mistreatment. Read the letter here.

Gophers football almost lost scholarships

According to the NCAA's latest Academic Progress Report released Wednesday, the Gophers football team almost lost scholarships this year. Minnesota's multiyear score was 932, two points above the minimum. U of M athletics director Joel Maturi says the team will "shoot the roof off of" next year's report.

Tinsley's parents accept son's diploma

As expected, the parents of the late Gary Tinsley walked through the U of M's graduation commencement ceremony and accepted their son's bachelor's degree. Ronda Evans, his mother and Gary Tinsley Sr., his father accepted the diploma. Head coach Jerry Kill joined Tinsley's parents at the ceremony.
