Report: Childress intrigued by Wisconsin job

CBS Sports reports that former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress is interested in the head coaching job at the University of Wisconsin. Childress spent eight seasons as an assistant coach with the Badgers from 1991-1998. He currently serves as the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns.

Head coach Brett Bielema recently accepted a job to coach at Arkansas, leaving his post with the Badgers.

Sherman is expected to take a job with the Dolphins, so it could be a matter of days before the Browns hire Childress to run its offense, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The former head coach for the Minnesota Vikings will be the Browns' new offensive coordinator. As of Friday afternoon, the team had yet to officially announce the move. Childress also interviewed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's head-coaching position. The 55-year-old was fired from the Vikings in November 2010.
