Gopher football coach Jerry Kill suffered another seizure while on the sideline of the Gophers game today against Western Illinois.

According to the Star Tribune Gopher officials say Kill has returned home. Spokesman Chris Werle made a statement following the game and said that Kill was taken to a hospital to ensure proper medication levels and is resting comfortably. Werle said that Kill's medical situation is well known to the team and fans and that the staff is well prepared for it.

Kill suffered the seizure as players were running in to the locker room at half time. Fox Sports Net reports its not the first time that Kill, who suffers from a disorder that causes seizures, has suffered one during a Gopher game.

Secondary Coach Jay Sawvel took over on the field, with Tracy Claeys acting as head coach, according to CBS Sports. The Gophers are prepared for such occurrences because of game-day stress on Coach Kill, who takes medication to control the seizures.

WCCO TV is reporting that Kill is expected to coach next week for the Gophers against San Jose State.
