With all of the hoopla surrounding Adrian Peterson, from trade rumors to the former MVP riding a camel at his 30th birthday party, it's easy to forget that he still hasn't been reinstated to the NFL.
That could change in the near future.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reports that Peterson will discuss reinstatement during a meeting with NFL officials this week.
When Peterson was suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell last season, Goodell said Peterson would not be considered for reinstatement until April 15.
Sporting News notes that Peterson has gone through several appeal processes since being suspended in November. A federal judge overturned the suspension, but the league appealed the judge's decision, thus keeping Peterson on Goodell's exempt list.
Once Peterson is reinstated, the only question about his future will be which team he'll be playing for in 2015, Pro Football Talk says
Peterson is under contract with the Vikings through 2017.
