Having already upgraded their starting rotation with the trade for right-hander Jake Odorizzi, the Twins could still sign one of the top remaining free agent starting pitchers, FanRag's Jon Heyman reports.

Heyman says right-handers Alex Cobb and Lance Lynn are in play for the Twins. Both are extremely legit options.

Cobb finished 2017 with a 3.66 ERA for Tampa Bay, and he published sub 3.00 ERAs in 2013 and '14.

Lynn missed the 2016 season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery only to come back in 2017 and go 11-8 with a 3.43 ERA in 33 starts. He also owns a career average of 8.5 strikeouts per nine innings, which would be a welcome addition to the strikeout-thirsty Twins.

Adding either would be a major upgrade to the rotation, which already looks solid, especially when 2017 All-Star Ervin Santana returns from injury in May.
