Mike Zimmer is barking up the Bengals tree again.

This time around Zimmer and the Vikings welcomed 36-year-old defensive back Terence Williams to Minnesota for a free-agent visit, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reports.

Newman played his first nine seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and has spent the past three years with the Bengals. Zimmer was Cincinnati's defensive coordinator for two of those seasons.

According to Pro Football Talk, Williams hasn't officially decided if he'll return to the NFL for a 13th season, but the fact that he's gauging interest from potential teams is a sign that he will continue his career.

During the NFL Scouting Combine in February, USA Today's Tom Pelissero told Vikings.com that Minnesota's biggest offseason need is help in the secondary, and Newman would be the perfect veteran compliment to Zimmer's defense.

Newman finished the 2014 season with 51 tackles and 1 interception.
