The Timberwolves agreed to a deal with shooting guard Marcus Georges-Hunt Tuesday, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Georges-Hunt is coming off an impressive performance in the Summer League with the Orlando Magic. He averaged 14 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor while hitting 43 percent of his 3-pointers.

He played in just five games with the Magic last season but he put up impressive numbers in the G League, where he was an All-Star

Darren Wolfson of KSTP reports the shooting guard's contract is not a two-way deal and is more of a partially guaranteed agreement. Which is a similar route Minnesota took when they signed former Maryland Terps star Melo Trimble.

With the Timberwolves near the ceiling of the salary cap, they've taken flyers on players like Georges-Hurt, Trimble and Anthony Brown to fill out their roster.

All three players are under the age of 25 and still have the potential to be something in the NBA.
