Derrick Rose has cleared waivers and now the waiting game begins.

Will the Wolves be the team that signs the 2011 MVP? If so, it would reunite him with his former coach Tom Thibodeau and teammates, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson.

Marc Stein of the New York Times reported that Minnesota would try to sign Rose if he cleared waivers, so here we are waiting for something to happen.

As of just before 7 p.m. Monday, no team had made a firm offer for Rose, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

The 29-year-old guard struggled this season with the Cavaliers before being traded to the Utah Jazz, who turned around and waived him.

Rose was actually a productive scorer in 66 games with the Knicks last season. He averaged 18.0 points on 47.1 percent shooting while getting to the free-throw line four times per game.
