Big news out of the NFL today with Andrew Luck signing a contract extension with the Indianapolis Colts worth a whole lot of money.

Luck's new deal will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history, with $87 million of his $140 million deal being guaranteed. It's a six-year extension that locks him up with the Colts through 2021.

Joe Flacco, making $22.1 million in 2016, was the highest-paid player before Luck's mega deal.

Luck threw for 40 touchdowns in 2014 but injuries derailed his 2015 season, limiting him to just 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in seven games.
