In a move that has been anticipated for nearly 24 hours, multiple sources are reporting that Corey Brewer is once again a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
According to the Star Tribune, Minnesota will trade Luke Ridnour to Milwaukee to clear enough cap space to give Brewer $5 million a year. The Wolves will also execute a sign-and-trade with the Thunder for shooting guard Kevin Martin. Oklahoma City will receive a $7 million trade exception for agreeing to the sign-and-trade.
Brewer and Ridnour need to pass physicals before the deals can be finalized.
The Wolves postponed the introductory press conference for Kevin Martin this morning, sparking rumors that they were getting close to landing Brewer.
The Wolves drafted Brewer with the seventh overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He put up career highs in points and assists while starting every game in his last season in Minnesota.
