Josh Willingham, Justin Morneau and Trevor Plouffe each homered to lead the Twins over the Royals, 10-7 last night in Kansas City. Ben Revere added three hits and a couple of RBI as well. The Twins are playing their best baseball of the season, having won six of their last seven games.

Willingham likely Twins only All-Star

Josh Willingham is on pace to set career highs in home runs and RBI. He hit 28 homers and drove in 98 runs with Oakland last year. His performance as the Twins best, and most clutch hitter will likely earn him a trip to the All-Star Game. All-Star rosters will be announced July 1st.

Willingham and Burroughs arrive in Fort Myers, Morneau still hasn't reported

Newcomers Josh Willingham and Sean Burroughs arrived at Twins' Spring Training on Wednesday. The only players left to report are Justin Morneau and Oswaldo Arcia. Thursday is the official check in date for position players. As for Burroughs, he'll be playing some first, second and third base during camp.

After finishing the season with 35 home runs and 110 RBI, Twins outfielder Josh Willingham was named the Calvin R. Griffith Award winner, given to the team's most valuable player. Scott Diamond was named the Twins' pitcher of the year and most outstanding rookie.

So far, Willingham outhitting Cuddyer

Twins outfielder Josh Willingham is swinging a bigger bat than the player he replaced on the Minnesota roster, Michael Cuddyer. Willingham has eight homers and 25 RBI so far. Cuddyer, playing with Colorado, has four homers and 23 RBI.

Clete Thomas starts fast with the Twins, Revere sent back to minors

Clete Thomas, who was claimed off waivers on Saturday, smashed a two-run homer and showed off his strong arm from the right field corner in his Twins debut on Sunday. His ability to play all three outfield positions allowed the Twins to send Ben Revere back to Triple-A Rochester. GM Terry Ryan says the move will allow Revere to continue to develop by playing every day.

Willingham, Liriano lead Twins past Pirates, 2-1

The Twins used power and pitching to beat the Pirates, 2-1 in Pittsburgh Wednesday night. Josh Willingham's 14th homer of the year broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning and the Twins were carried on the mound by Francisco Liriano's fourth straight solid start.

Willingham has been playing right field most of the spring. Ben Revere, Trevor Plouffe and Chris Parmelee will compete for right, while Denard Span is in center field.
