Rice to Moss: 'I never took plays off'

The war of words between Jerry Rice and Randy Moss went up a notch today.

Rice -- clearly irritated with the controversial ex-Viking -- said in a news conference “I never took plays off and always gave 100 percent.”

Moss -- now a backup receiver with the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers -- rocked Super Bowl media day (Tuesday) by claiming he was the greatest receiver of all time. On Wednesday, he repeated his claim, telling reporters: "You make your own judgement ... I am the greatest ... next question.”

How do they really compare? Stats wise?

Dozens of news outlets are running the numbers. The Star Tribune, for one, contends the numbers just don't add up ... for Moss.
