The Timberwolves start an abbreviated training camp today to prepare for their shortened season. In a pickup game at Target Center yesterday, Ricky Rubio was all the rage as his teammates raved about his passing game. Anthony Tolliver told the Star Tribune Rubio’s passes were "crazy.”

Kobe asked if they were talking about the 2012 Olympics, and Rubio responded by saying, "You know you're getting the silver medal. You know that." Kobe then challenged Rubio to a bet, which he accepted.

Georgetta Wuo still doesn't have a date to the prom. Her dream date is Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio. Rubio just had surgery on his knee, but his teammates think it would be good for him to go to prom with the Champlin Park senior.
