Rubio's near triple-double not enough as Jazz top Wolves

The Timberwolves battled to the end but lost at home to the Utah Jazz, 97-93 Wednesday night. The loss sends the Wolves off to the All-Star break with a 19-31 record.

Ricky Rubio played his best game of the season, finishing with 18 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds -- just one rebound shy of his first career triple-double. He also had four steals and played a season-high 41 minutes.

Derrick Williams also had a career night. He had 24 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

Nikola Pekovic was his normal stellar self with 19 points and 13 rebounds (7 offensive).

Luke Ridnour, whose name came up in trade rumors Wednesday, scored 18 points.

Minnesota rallied late in the game. They were down 15 points with 6:15 left in the game before going on a 25-9 run to cut Utah's lead to 95-93 with five seconds left in the game. The Wolves quickly fouled Randy Foye, who calmly hit a pair of a free throws to ice the game.
