Suddenly, it looks as if the Philadelphia Phillies are the front-runners for the services of free-agent Twin Michael Cuddyer. As one writer put it: Phillies manager Charlie Manuel "has never had a player with as much experience at so many different positions."

Former Twin and fan favorite Jim Thome signed a one-year deal with Philadelphia Saturday. Comcast SportsNet's Jim Salisbury says the Phillies are also pursuing Twins free-agent Michael Cuddyer.
