Santana strong, but Twins fall to Texas in 10

Minnesota Twins starter Ervin Santana was strong, but the Twins couldn't do enough to help him out as they fell to the Texas Rangers 3-2 Friday night at Target Field.

With Texas leading 2-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh the Twins pulled even on a two-run home run from Trevor Plouffe. He finished the night 3-for-4 with the home run and both Twins' RBIs.

The game stayed tied until the 10th, when Ian Desmond hit a solo shot off Fernando Abad, giving the Rangers the lead for good.

Tyler Duffey (3-6) takes the mound for the Twins on Saturday afternoon against Texas' Chi Chi Gonzalez.
