(Scary) Sports clip o' the day: Globetrotter pulls entire basket down on top of himself

Usually our BringMeTheNews Sports Clip O' the Day is a cheery affair, or perhaps a bizarre affair, or even just plain ridiculous.

But this one, sports fans, is a little bit scary, so be warned. As NBC's Pro Basketball Talk tells it, the Harlem Globetrotters were indeed trotting the globe, putting on a show in Honduras. Bull Ballard threw down a monster dunk, hung on the rim for a bit ... and had the whole thing come crashing down on him. The stantion, the rim, shattered glass and the whole bit.

The Original Harlem Globetrotters posted it on their YouTube channel. There will be blood.

Dime Magazine reports Bull recovered from the crazy spill, and he watched his Globetrotter mates finish the game - apparently once the basket had been replaced.
