SCSU clinches share of WCHA title; Gophers, North Dakota still alive after Friday wins

St. Cloud State clinched at least a share of the MacNaughton Cup -- winning the WCHA regular season title -- with a 4-2 win at Wisconsin on Friday night. It's the first WCHA title in the University's history, and it comes in the final year of the conference.

The Huskies trailed the Badgers 2-1 before third period goals by Jonny Brodzinksi, Nick Jensen and Drew LeBlanc completed the comeback.

The Minnesota Gophers remain two points behind SCSU after a comeback win at Bemidji State, 4-3. Nick Bjugstad scored two goals, including the game-winner on the power play at the 14:54 mark of the third period.

In Mankato it was North Dakota topping Minnesota State, 4-3. UND remains tied with Minnesota with 35 points. The Gophers and UND need a win and a SCSU loss on Saturday to be declared co-champions of the WCHA.
