Setoguchi, Wellman activated from IR

Finally some good news on the injury front for the Wild. Devin Setoguchi was activated from injured reserve Tuesday and is expected to play Wednesday in Vancouver. Setoguchi has been sidelined with a knee injury since December 6. Casey Wellman, out since December 13, was also activated from IR.

Setoguchi: 'I'm feeling good'

The Minnesota Wild hasn't been the same since December 6 -- that's the day forward Devin Setoguchi went down with a knee injury. The Wild had the best record in the NHL at the time, and hope they can climb back towards the top of the standings once Setoguchi returns.

Koivu's return should help slumping Setoguchi

Nobody wants Mikko Koivu to return to the Wild's lineup more than Devin Setoguchi. Setoguchi has just five points in 12 games since returning from a lower body injury. Koivu's return could boost his production on the top line next to Dany Heatley.

The procedures weren't serious, but Minnesota Wild stars Niklas Backstrom, Dany Heatley and Devin Setoguchi have had minor surgeries since their season ended earlier this month. Backstrom and Setoguchi battled injuries this season, but Heatley played in every game.

Setoguchi might be in the doghouse

Devin Setoguchi was a healthy scratch for tonight’s Wild game against the San Jose Sharks. No word yet on why Setoguchi isn’t in the lineup, but the Star Tribune’s Michael Russo speculates that he’s in the “Wild’s doghouse” for something.

Apologetic Setoguchi rejoins Wild's top line

Devin Setoguchi will be on the ice with the Wild tonight in Chicago. The winger was benched Tuesday night against San Jose for missing a meeting. Setoguchi offered no excuses and apologized to his teammates. He’ll skate on the first line with Mikko Koivu and Dany Heatley.
