The Pioneer Press reports the Vikings are interested in Simpson, but want to learn more about a possible suspension he could receive from an off the field felony drug charge. Simpson had 50 catches for 725 yards and four touchdowns last season.

Hartman: Vikings' Simpson is 'another Cris Carter'

Reaction to one of Sid Hartman's latest statements is making the Star Tribune columnist seem a bit too excited about Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson. Hartman said Simpson will be "another Cris Carter." You know, the same Cris Carter that is fourth on the NFL's all-time receptions list.
