Vikings' Greg Childs undergoes surgery on ruptured knee tendons

Rookie wide receiver Greg Childs was scheduled to have surgery Monday to repair the ruptured patellar tendons in both of his knees. He suffered the injury in a freak accident during the Vikings Saturday night preseason practice. Childs told head coach Leslie Frazier that he would be back next year.
