The Minnesota Lynx just don't lose games in May.

You have to go all the way back to May 29, 2010 to find the last time they lost in May. It was a 73-58 loss to the Chicago Sky. Lindsey Whalen, Seimone Augustus and Rebekkah Brunson are the only remaining players from that 2010 roster.

Since then, the Lynx have a May winning streak that's been alive longer than Snapchat, which was released in September of 2011.

How many consecutive May victories? 21, including an 80-78 win over the Connecticut Sun Tuesday night.

  • 2017: 4-0
  • 2016: 6-0
  • 2015: No games in May
  • 2014: 6-0
  • 2013: No games in May
  • 2012: 5-0
  • 2011: No games in May
  • 2010: 1-5

Unsurprisingly, it was Maya Moore's rookie season in 2011. Since drafting Moore No. 1 overall the Lynx have reached five of the last six WNBA Finals with championships in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

The Lynx can stretch their unbeaten streak in May to 22 and 23 games with wins at Connecticut on Friday and at home against San Antonio on Sunday.
