Snow postpones today's Twins-Blue Jays game; doubleheader Thursday

Tonight's game between the Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays scheduled for 7:10 p.m. at Target Field has been postponed.

Rain and snow are forecast through the day and night, but tomorrow's weather may allow for the doubleheader the Twins and Blue Jays will play to make up for today's lost game. Thursday's Twin Cities weather should bring partly sunny skies with a high near 40 degrees.

Minnesota will send Kyle Gibson to the mound for the first game and Mike Pelfrey (was scheduled to start tonight) to the mound for the second game of the doubleheader, according to Mike Berardino.

The Twins' website provides details on what ticket holders can do with tickets to rained out games. Fans who had purchased tickets can not get a refund, but they can utilize them for the Thursday 6:10 p.m. game or trade them in for tickets to a future 2014 regular season home game.

According to Fox Sports North, this is the ninth postponed game in the five-year history of Target Field.
