Span, Revere settling in with new teams

It's a pair of fresh starts for former Twins outfielders Denard Span and Ben Revere.

The early reports from Florida that both are fitting in great with their new teams. During the off-season, Span was traded to the Washington Nationals, Revere to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Span joins a contender that had been looking for a speedy center fielder who can hit leadoff and get on base.

“It’s a good feeling to be somewhere where you’re wanted and needed,” Span told the Associated Press.

Span even said his new uniform fits better: "I don’t know if it’s the pants, the material or something, but it seemed like it hugged my waist a little bit better."

As for Revere, he's seen as a player with a tremendous upside. He's fast, and has great bat control -- but he doesn't get on base as much as he probably should.

In ultra-tough Philadelphia, that could be a problem. As manager Charlie Manuel explained to "I guarantee you the fans will like him if he gets on base."
