Spurgeon could play Tuesday at Vancouver

Jared Spurgeon has missed the past 8 games for the Wild because of a sprained foot, but he's getting closer to playing again.

Head coach Mike Yeo says Spurgeon is "very close" and it's possible that he's back in the lineup for Tuesday's game at Vancouver. That means he won't play Monday night at Calgary.

Without Spurgeon the defnese has been great in limiting shots. Despite losing 4-1 to the Canucks last week, the Wild allowed just 34 total shots, only 22 of which were on goal.
