"The Force" was alive and well at Target Field for "Star Wars" night as the Minnesota Twins opened a weekend series with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fans and even a few players came dressed as their favorite "Star Wars" characters from storm troopers, to Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and even Plouffe Skywalker – or um, we mean Luke Skywalker.

Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson wasn't eliminating enemy hitters on the field. Instead he was posing for photos in the Legends Club before the game. Gibson has been on the disabled list the last few weeks, but he did throw a simulated game Thursday.

Yes, "The Dark Side" was represented as well, but as far as we know there were not any light sabre battles in the stands.
