Maple Grove 2

The Eden Prairie Eagles took home their 3rd state championship tonight, and first since 2008, thanks to a critical overtime power play goal from senior forward Lauren Oberle. Maple Grove went scoreless until the 3rd period, but managed to surge back thanks to two snappy goals from Katie Denecke, who sparked the comeback, and Maia Martinez, who hustled hard to flip the puck over Eden Prairie goalie Alexa Dobchuk and send the game into overtime.

Warroad High School took third place over Procter/Hermantown 3-1.
New Prague won the consolation tournament over Alexandria 7-0.

Class A:

Blake School 8

St. Paul United 0

In a decidedly less close matchup, top-seeded Blake School showed why big college names like Princeton are sniffing after their player Carly Bullock, routing St. Paul United thanks to a hat trick from Bullock. The Princeton recruit didn't have the only hat trick though, Blake teammate Lucy Burton managed a natural hat trick as well during the second period. Blake goalie Anna Kruesel pitched the shutout with 19 saves to win her school its' sixth championship.

Hill-Murray took third place over Edina High 5-3.

Eastview won the consolation tournament over Lakeville South 2-1.
