The State of Hockey is superior to Hockeytown, at least for one night.

The Minnesota Wild won its fourth straight game with a route of the Red Wings, 4-2 in Detroit on Wednesday night.

Devin Setoguchi scored twice while goaltender Niklas Backstrom was a brick wall on the ice inside Joe Louis Arena. Backstrom made 36 saves, including 18 in the first period to keep the high-powered Red Wings at bay.

Setoguchi scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season. He's now tied with Zach Parise for the team lead.

The Wild led 1-0 after the first and exploded with three more goals in the second period to take a commanding 4-1 lead into the final 20 minutes.

Kyle Brodziak and Mikko Koivu added goals for Minnesota.

The Wild is now 17-10-2 and leads the Northwest Division with 36 points. Vancouver remains two points back. With 17 wins, the Wild is tied with Los Angeles for the third most victories in the Western Conference.
