Streak snapped: Gophers can't stop Hoosiers in Indiana

Minnesota Gophers 79

Indiana Hoosiers 93

The Minnesota Gophers women's basketball team fell short of Indiana 93-79 Thursday night in Bloomington, Indiana.

1. Winning streak snapped

Thursday night's loss snapped Minnesota's four-game winning streak. The streak equaled the longest for the Gophers this season, matching the four they won from Jan. 17-26.

2. Banham back at it for Gophers

Rachel Banham continues to put up points for the Gophers. She finished Thursday night's loss with 29 points.

Banham had over 30 points in each of the last three games since tying an NCAA record when she scored 60 in a double overtime victory against Northwestern on Feb. 7.

Since that game she scored 32 against Nebraska and 35 against Iowa.

But she didn't have her best night Thursday, finishing just 9-of-23 from the floor while turning it over six times.

3. Hoosiers win it at the free-throw line

The biggest difference in the game Thursday night was the way the Hoosiers were able to get to the free-throw line. Indiana made more free throws than the Gophers attempted.

The Hoosiers were 28-of-42 from the stripe, while Minnesota was just 18-of-27.
