Streak snapped! Williams' franchise record lifts Wolves over Pacers

Author:

The Minnesota Timberwolves snapped their 15 game losing streak Tuesday night in Indiana. The Wolves beat the Indiana Pacers 110-101.

It was Minnesota's first victory in 34 days.

Mo Williams had a huge night for the Wolves. He scored a single-game franchise record 52 points in the victory. Williams' efforts also set a new single-game high in the NBA this season.

Williams frustrated Pacers defenders as he knocked down 6 three-pointers on the night and was 19-of -33 from the floor.

Andrew Wiggins wasn't bad either. He scored 20 points – his eighth straight 20-point game, and Gorgui Dieng had another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Thaddeus Young even chipped in 11 points.

After building a 10-point first half lead the Pacers faded in the second half. They were outscored by the Wolves 41-26 in the decisive fourth quarter as the Wolves made their run.

C.J. Miles led Indiana with 22 points.

The Wolves (6-31) travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Friday.
