It's been exactly 40 days since the Twins began changing their season for the better.

After losing 13 of 20 after the All-Star break, the Twins have surged with a 25-13 record since Aug. 6. Only the Cleveland Indians, who are riding an MLB record 22-game winning streak, have been better.

AL Standings since Aug. 6

  1. Indians: 32-7
  2. Twins: 25-13
  3. Yankees: 22-15
  4. Red Sox: 21-14
  5. Angels: 19-16
  6. Rangers: 19-17
