Whoever stole Tom Brady's Super Bowl jersey is about to get roundhouse kicked in the face.

The Texas Rangers, not the baseball team, are now involved in the mysterious disappearance of Brady's jersey. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick sent a release noting the Rangers' involvement with Houston police to find the stolen jersey.

"In Texas, we place a very high value on hospitality and football," Patrick wrote. "Tom Brady's jersey has great historical value and is already being called 'the most valuable NFL collectable ever.' It will likely go into the Hall of Fame one day. It is important that history does not record that it was stolen in Texas."

According to Bloomberg, the jersey is worth about $500,000 (damn!).

This guy, Carlos Alberto Garcia, posted a photo to Instagram holding up a Brady jersey at NRG Stadium in Houston Sunday night. There's no proof that it's Brady's actual game-worn jersey, but Garcia did include the hashtag "#stolehisjersey". He's since added that his photo is a joke, so he's probably not the offender. Plus, Brady claims he had his jersey in the locker room.

Yahoo captured video of Brady looking for his jersey at his locker. Brady claims he put it in his bag before it disappeared.

“If anyone sees on eBay, a jersey for sale …” Brady says with a laugh.
