Hey everyone, it's Tiny Joe Nelson from FM 100.3 KFAN's Friday Night Scoreboard. Week three is loaded with awesome match-ups. Let's get started with my must-see games of the week.

#2 (4A) St. Thomas Academy @ #3 (4A) Mahtomedi
The Cadets won on a flukey finish last year, but that was on their home field. This time around the game is at Mahtomedi - a place St. Thomas Academy has never won. The Zephyr's are probably a slight favorite in this one, but I'm predicting the Cadets walk away with the win.

Champlin Park @ #5 (5A) Blaine
Head coach Shannon Gerrety has the Bengals off to an impressive 2-0 start. Both wins were against quality teams (Hopkins, Coon Rapids). The Rebels, however, might be feeling overlooked as they lost their season opener to Eden Prairie. There is no shame in that. They bounced back last week with a 24-3 victory over Maple Grove.

Edina @ #8 (5A) Lakeville North
The Lake Conference might be as strong as it's ever been. Four of the five teams are ranked in the 5A top ten. Edina could make it a clean sweep with a win this week.

#5 (4A) Rogers @ St. Michael-Albertville
Simply put, this is an outstanding rivalry game. The Knights might be the only team capable of unseating Rogers as the defending Mississippi 8 Conference champion.

#8 (4A) Spring Lake Park @ Totino-Grace
The Panthers are going into hostile territory against Jeff Ferguson's Eagles. I may have made a terrible mistake when I predicted Spring Lake Park would win this game, but I'm sticking with it!

#9 (5A) Brainerd @ Sartell-St. Stephen
It's shocking to see Sartell off to an 0-2 start. It won't get any easier this week against the Warriors. Last week Brainerd head coach Ron Stolski, in his 50th year as a head coach, won his state record 332nd career game.

54 teams are still undefeated after five weeks of football, but only five make the list on Joe Nelson's week five prep football rankings. One of the top five is not undefeated. The most impressive win last week was Wayzata's blowout win over Minnetonka, but it wasn't quite enough to launch the Trojans to No. 1.
