Tiny Joe's KFAN/BMTN prep football rankings

54 teams are still undefeated after five weeks of football, but only five make the list on Joe Nelson's week five prep football rankings. One of the top five is not undefeated. The most impressive win last week was Wayzata's blowout win over Minnetonka, but it wasn't quite enough to launch the Trojans to No. 1.

1. Eden Prairie
A 5-0 start is nothing new for Eden Prairie. As a matter of fact, this is the sixth straight year the Eagles have started the season 5-0.

2. Wayzata
They survived a first half scare against Minnetonka but walked away with a convincing victory. The Trojans pulled away with a dominating 22-point third quarter.

3. Cretin-Derham Hall
The Raiders are 5-0 and clearly on their way to an 8-0 regular season and Suburban East Conference title.

4. Lakeville South

Could just as easily put Lakeville North, also 5-0, in this spot but the Panthers haven't played the schedule that South has. The two meet this Friday in the battle of Lakeville. It could be a classic.

5. Mounds View
They are 4-1 and the only non-undefeated team in my top five. Their only loss is to Cretin-Derham Hall, and it wasn't a bad loss. They won on Friday night, due in large part to a backup running back.

Honorable Mention: Lakeville North, Anoka, Blaine, Mankato West, St. Thomas Academy, South St. Paul, Rogers, Rochester Mayo, Osseo, Shakopee, Owatonna.
