The United States men's Olympic hockey team hit the ice for its first practice before they open up round-robin play Thursday at 6:30 a.m. Central Time against Slovakia.

To get ready for the games, a video getting fans excited for the games could go viral if the sporting world hooks onto it. The video, titled "Dream On: USA Hockey," features past U.S. hockey stars from the 1980 "Miracle On Ice" team that upset the Soviet Union and went on to win the gold medal. In contrast, it shows the heartbreaking moments of the 2010 U.S. that lost in the gold medal game when Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal to give Canada the gold (video below).

Faces from the 1980 team hockey faithful may recognize include former University of Minnesota head coach Herb Brooks and Olympic stars Mike Eruzione and Jim Craig, not to mention many others. Modern day players like Zach Parise and Ryan Suter of the Minnesota Wild are also shown.
