Today's Sports Clip: MMA fighter gets KO'd, proposes to girlfriend

Have you ever had one of those bad days where the only thing that can cheer you up is a smile on your significant other's face?

Somehow, someway, an MMA fighter named Rey Trujillo took a day like that to an entirely new level. The Big Lead has the full details.

The short version: After getting knocked out by a vicious knee to the head during his fight last Friday, the referee accidentally stepped on his head. That's a bad day. But Trujillo had a plan – a plan to propose to the woman of his dreams – and after he regained consciousness he got back up, dropped to one knee and popped the question.

It's kind of similar to when Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder threw two bad interceptions at Lambeau Field in a 2012 loss to the Packers, only to bounce back by proposing to his now wife – Samantha Ponder – with a creative display of Christmas lights.
