Twins re-sign closer Matt Capps

The Twins have reached a one-year deal with free agent closer Matt Capps. General Manager Terry Ryan says the Twins' organization believes Capps will bounce back after struggling last season. The righthander finished 4-7 with a 4.25 ERA and 15 saves before losing his job to Joe Nathan.

Michael Cuddyer says moving on from Minnesota to sign with the Rockies is "bittersweet." Cuddyer also says he and his agent didn't have any conversations with the Twins after they signed Josh Willingham, but he doesn't have any hard feelings towards the organization.

Capps could be back after All-Star break

Twins' closer Matt Capps is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday, and then head to Fort Myers, Florida for a rehab stint. The right-hander is on the disabled list with a sore shoulder, but the team hopes to have him back in the bullpen after next week's All-Star break.

Twins put Capps on 15-day disabled list

As expected, Twins closer Matt Capps has been put on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury. Lefthander Tyler Robertson has been called up from Triple-A Rochester to take his roster spot.
