Twins lose to Red Sox, 4-2, in spring training finale

The Red Sox beat the Twins Saturday, 4-2, to finish spring training with a record of 17-16.

Boston's Felix Doubront pitched a six-hit ball for five scoreless innings.

Twins right-hander Mike Pelfrey, who is coming back from Tommy John surgery, gave up four runs and nine hits in 3 2-3 innings.

Monday is the Twins home opener at Target Field.

In a season preview, the Star Tribune says things are looking bleak for the team right now. However, fans continue to support the Twins despite two losing seasons.

Sid Hartman says 1.95 million total tickets this season. The Twins' 19,000 full-season equivalent ticket sales are expected to rank in the top 10 season ticket bases in the major leagues.
