Twins' minor league team auctions jerseys for Sandy relief

The Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins in Connecticut, The New Britain Rock Cats, are auctioning off jerseys to benefit the victims on the East Coast recovering from superstorm Sandy. Proceeds from the sales of the team's black alternate uniforms will be donated to the Salvation Army's Hurrican Sandy Relief Fund. Jersey's worn by Jason Kubel, Scott Baker, Trevor Plouffe and Francisco Liriano are among those on the auction block.

The Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins in Connecticut, The New Britain Rock Cats, are auctioning off jerseys to benefit the victims on the East Coast recovering from superstorm Sandy, the Associated Press reports.

Proceeds from the sales of the team's black alternate uniforms will be donated to the Salvation Army's Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

Jerseys worn by Jason Kubel, Scott Baker, Trevor Plouffe and Francisco Liriano are among those on the auction block.
