Apple Valley sophomore point guard Tyus Jones was named the Minnesota Associated Press boys basketball Player of the Year on Tuesday. Joining Jones on the AP All-State team: Siyani Chambers of Hopkins, Joey King of Eastview, Tyler Vaughan of Braham and Johnny Woodard of Duluth East.

Twins' minor-league star Miguel Sano is crushing the ball

The No. 1 prospect in the Twins' minor-league system turned 19 years old on Friday, but he's hitting the ball like a fully grown man. Through 33 games, Miguel Sano has a .303 batting average with ten home runs at low Single-A. The power-hitting prospect hit a walk-off homer last week that nearly started a bench clearing brawl.
